Grow Old with Dogs When I am old...... I will wear soft grey sweatshirts.. and a bandana over my silver hair... and I will spend my social security checks on wine and my dogs. I will sit in my house on my well-worn chair and listen to my dog's breathing.... I will sneak out in the middle of a warm summer night and take my dogs for a run, if my old bones allow.... When people come to call, I will smile and nod as I show them my dogs.... and talk of them and about them.... ....the ones so beloved of the past.... and the ones so beloved of today.... I will still work hard cleaning after them, mopping and feeding them and whispering their names in a loving way. I will wear the gleaming sweat on my throat, like a jewel and I will be an embarrassment to all....especially my family....who have not yet found the peace in being free to have dogs as your best friends.... These friends who always wait, at any hour, for your footfall.....and eagerly jump to their feet out of a sound sleep, to greet you as if you are All. With warm eyes full of adoring love and hope that you will always stay, I'll hug their big strong necks..... I'll kiss their dear sweet heads.... and whisper in their very special company.... I look in the Mirror.... and see I am getting old.... this is the kind of person I am..... and have always been. Loving dogs is easy, they are part of me. Please accept me for who I am. My dogs appreciate my presence in their lives...... When I am old this will be important to me..... you will understand when you are old..... if you have dogs to love too..... ~Author Unknown~

NADAC Agility in Greenfield, MA June 14-15
GEM: 6 Q's and 5 first and 1 second place. She qualified in Elite
Weavers, earning her NATCH points towards Versatility NATCH. She
earned points towards Superior Tunnelers, Chances and Weavers. She got a
Elite Touch and Go (our first in Elite!) working our way to a Elite Versatility title!
Something I'm not sure we'll see for a while! ;-)
MOBY: 3 Q's and 3 first places. Two in Regular, working towards our Superior title
and one in Open Jumpers, working towards our OJC title. He had many wonderful and
proud runs but being a "new" team we each made our share of mistakes; Q's slipping
thru our grips! With experience (I'm told, right Tracy) we should "gel" and put more
Qualifiers under our belt together. All in all, I was quite proud of this boy, he has come
such a long way......he's so shy ...but you would never know it most of the time in the ring!

CPE Agility in Skowhegan, Maine. A great trial 30 miles from home! I only
compete Moby at this trial as to build more experience with him and to give
him some extra one-on-one attention. He completed his entire Level One
Title (in just 2 trials), earning the Wildcard Q that he needed from last year!
He qualified in 4 out of 5 runs, earning a first place each time also.
Snooker remains one of my favorite games (what about you Trac? ) earning
43 points. We also ran a Jumpers, Jackpot, Fullhouse and Colors. Our only
NQ was an off course tunnel in jumpers but that was still our favorite run
of the weekend; trying some tricky handling maneuvers! Now to perfect
them! :-)
Moby continues to amaze me with his courage and devotion, to me and the
game! I believe he came to my life to show me just what can happen when
you combine trust, space and training!
