wanback Jacks is a small hobby breeder devoted to the
English Jack Russell breed.  The kennel was named after the
beautiful area in Aroostook County, Maine,  where we used to
live.  Almost 12 years ago, I purchased my first English JRT
and from there the "fever" began.  Swanback's Jocco was that
first dog and he was fuel for the passion that is Swanback
Jacks.  We began competing in Racing and Go-to-Ground
events when Jocco was a year old.  I met some dear friends
along the way and with their help, I learned the ropes and kept
JRT eventing annually.  From there, more terriers and events
were added and learned; history was made.

wanback Jack's main goal is to keep these lively
terriers healthy, both physically and mentally.  Swanback
checks for many hereditary & genetic diseases and does the
best by the terriers in means of physical fitness and nutrition.
We challenge you to find a breeder that does as much.   It is
important that these often misunderstood terriers be placed
with proper families to ensure their mental and physical
wellbeing.  Please check our pages to help educate yourself
before deciding to add a Jack to your family.  Our links refer
you to many credible sources to help with your decision.
Enjoy and as always,
Thank you for visiting Swanback Jacks;

Merry Russells! Moby, Adorable, Gem and Cue!
Cue is turning 6 months old
the end of the month.  Where
does time go?  She will
accompany her big brother
Moby to their first ever APDT
Rally trail in New Hampshire in
March.  She'll go for some fun
runs and Moby will give
competition a try.  We'll keep
you posted!
Moby is thinking about entering the
May
DTCM TDX tracking test.  It
will be hard, since little practice can
be done until the snow melts.  And
in Maine, that can be almost
May....;-)  It would be great to be
drawn for this test since it is in our
own state and hosted by our club.
Dory is excited to see a new
Dock Dogs club in Maine!  It's
the
Seacoast Dock Dog club!
We can't wait to start diving
and enjoying the warm
summer water!  We'll keep you
informed.  :-)
Gem and I are both very excited to
kick off this years agility!  Hopefully
in April we will be off and running
towards our
Versatility NATCH!!!
It's going to take all year but we
hope to get there in 2010!
